Abstract

With the Covid-19 pandemic, the country's economic condition has decreased, and the unemployment rate has increased so that the participation of the entrepreneurship world is needed to create job opportunities. The motivation that drives everyone to start entrepreneurship can be different. Theoretically, entrepreneurial motivation can be divided into four aspects: psychological, economic, social, and behavioral. Knowing the reason for entrepreneurship can determine various suggestions and inputs given to prospective entrepreneurs. Through this Community Service (PkM) activity, the Manado City Police members were invited to discuss various aspects of motivation and the advantages and disadvantages of being an entrepreneur. The method used in this activity is through the material presentation, informal question and answer, and a questionnaire. In this PkM activity, it was found that the most crucial aspect for the participants was the economic aspect. At the same time, the motivational indicator that became the most priority was the desire to make parents proud. Various solutions to the participants' problems/concerns about starting a business were also discussed.
